If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?
"I would like to end human trafficking for my friend."
The first inspired kids! children's wellness coaching took place summer 2013. Middle school youth in mid Pinellas County, Florida met twice weekly for five weeks. As their coach, I asked each participant to answer this question, "If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?" One participant stated that she wanted to stop human trafficking because she had a friend in human trafficking. I had to admit to myself, I didn't even know what human trafficking is. So I let the group state their intentions and I notified the grant administrator for the program who awarded inspire well-being grant funds for our coaching course. I addressed my concerns and did some research that summer on my own. That summer 2013 was also the summer before kindergarten for Forrest Nelson. I planned some fun trips with friends including the hands on museum and Lego Land. During that summer, I observed that my son was having some medical symptoms which by school time included a ruptured appendix and an emergency surgery. In our home, we were invaded on our computer and on our iPhone, we were experiencing stalking and cyber harassment. Before too long, my bank notified me that there were purchases made that were fraudulent and so I went to the bank to see iTunes purchases made using my debit card. By fall, two months into school Forrest was still not settling in well to kindergarten. He very assertively asked me to home school him. His dad and me already agreed on the elementary school for him and therefore I was uncertain how implement change that I needed to in order to heed to my son's intuitive needs. He tried everything to get his message across to me. He was trying so hard to protect me.
Within 48 hours of seeking protection for both of us from the justice system, Forrest was taken. It was then I learned the meaning of human trafficking. Because inspire well-being was founded on the serenity prayer and five attentive participants from middle school, I held the intention for all of them that what took place to my son would not be repeated to any other mother and child again. In my research and experience, of four long years (four years and 48 hours) I discovered that a small group of participants really can change the world. A small community reaches a bigger community and within my state of Florida I discovered a Senate Report which clearly outlined the reason for human trafficking below, false dependency petitions which have no consequence to the reporter or the author and can lead to extensive time apart for parent/child relationships. There are two types of guardian ad litems and some work in the family law courtroom and some work for the dependency court (which is a criminal court). Even if you never did anything wrong, if someone reports you with allegations to the Florida Abuse line, or to a police officer or DCF worker, you can have your child put into the criminal/dependency courtroom and you will be assigned a case manager who will write up a plan for your family. At this point your child is in the hands of the Florida court system and they have jurisdiction. I was told that I couldn't admit or deny to the allegations and I was never given my right to a trial or to a defense. I reported computer stalking and fraud and I was never given a protective order hearing, instead we were separated by a false petition.
Perhaps because of my participant, or perhaps because it's my life purpose, but for whatever reason, my prayers led me to a long term four year separation from my son. This is because it took me this long to find the right team. In Clearwater, FL there is a task force that has been put together to end human trafficking. What they may not even realize is that this was the intention of a children's wellness coaching class participant in summer 2013; therefore the entire class and her coach, supported her in setting her intention. It was the intention of Coordinated Child Care who awarded inspire well-being! grant funds to continue coaching classes throughout Pinellas County after school locations and this career is ideally suited for me as a mom with a home based business. What we accomplished in just ten one hour sessions appears to be taking families over four years or more to accomplish. We worked on forgiveness cards and thank you cards and we used art therapy and compassionate communication and reflective listening. Our group coaching classes took place for just over one month during one summer, however could be easily repeated with same or different participants.
Fully recognizing this, as business competition goes... business competitors tried to put our the light within these participants and me, there coach. They used a wide variety of techniques including maliciously creating a false DCF report made for the purpose of harming another person (me, Coach Elizabeth and my entire tribe of Market America Distributors), they also used harassment and tried to embarrass me for the personal financial gain of the other person. They used mental health discrimination to acquire custody of a child and to attempt to resolve private disputes involving the child (my son). Over the next four years, from 2013 - 2017, I was forced to rely solely on God. I knew this was not God's will for my son and me to be apart, nor was it God's will for us to be forced to leave our homes, or lose our vehicle or our new kitten. But as the 2013 holidays approached, we were silenced and separated from one another. The break in our hearts, no doubt could be felt in this country.
This year, as the holiday season 2017 is approaching, I have concluded my research into computer invasion, cyber stalking, physical stalking and ID fraud, and I now understand what human trafficking is. As you can see below, this young middle school participant shared something so important and brilliant that needed immediate attention. as you can see below Statutory reference: S.39.205 (4), F.S. The department shall establish procedures for determining whether a false report of child abuse, abandonment, or neglect has been made and for submitting all identifying information related to such report to the appropriate law enforcement agency and shall report annually the number of reports referred. S. 39. 01 (28)...
Imagine, if I could meet with these students again, who are now in high school, would it make a difference to them? If they knew, that coach Elizabeth did the research, traveled to New York and to Georgia and stayed in safe houses, was incarcerated and was charged with the crime that the identity thieves did to her? Would these participants be engaged in their learning in high school? Would they be graduating and how would it help them to know that one participant identified something that was deficient in Florida rule for years and in fact, it didn't just hurt her friend, it hurt many, many friends.
This is also why, my son knew that he needed to be home schooled. I knew I needed to listen to him, but I didn't know how to stand up to his dad. I believe that if his dad knew, just how important it was to his son, that maybe he would have found it in her heart to hear what we needed, which is to study and work together. Above is Forrest's birthday. His due date was on February 5, 2008; My YMCA of the Suncoast hire date was February 5, 2007. I believe that when I read the purpose driven life ten months prior to starting work at the Y, God gave me a position where my son could help me to make a difference in the lives of Florida's children, beginning with mine.
Philippians 4:6New International Version (NIV)6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
