If ever a soul could find me, Tim Tebow's always does. Inside the YMCA in Clearwater, Highland Avenue where I worked with all my blood, sweat and tears preparing a program called Ykids! club for enrichment in Pinellas County Public Schools. This location and the corporate offices gave home to a married woman who returned to the work force after working from home in her business Robbie's PC Solutions. This on-site computer repair business was created during a transition in Elizabeth's career. Working as a personal trainer and an exercise leader for approximately eighteen months, Elizabeth was introduced to the concept of lifestyle coaching from IDEA FIt magazine. When she incorporated her decade of work in behavioral healthcare team management and her new career in exercise and wellness leadership she had to move through a few years of a sluggish "Florida lifestyle" which slowed her down a little bit. Elizabeth was always proud of her ability to get hired and to succeed at everything she put her mind to. From moving to Florida from upstate New York, to working her way up into four promotions in five years and to career transitioning into human resources and training and development from mental health case management. Her focus at age 29 was to work two jobs, spend as little money as possible and to work out instead of go out. This lifestyle was the lifestyle she maintained to purchase her first home. This lifestyle shift was the perfect fit. The rewards far exceeded the challenges of turning down invitations to go out to eat or drink and instead invite others to join her at the gym. Together three to four of her friends made commitments to work out more and go out and spend money less. All of the group purchased property in Pinellas county within just months of each other. It wasn't long after that Elizabeth could be found gardening, something she never did before in her entire life. Guests removed their shoes and sank into her green sofa couch listened to Enya, and Yanni CD's and if they smoked weed, they all went together to the "entertainment room". This lifestyle was new to Elizabeth having moved twelve times in the previous five years including every Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Weekend 2000 she invited everyone over to her new home to celebrate a holiday without moving. A tour of her home, not yet redecorated included many of her staff and co workers who worked together for the first five years of her career.
Following the purchase of her home, Elizabeth was offered a promotional opportunity to work for the State of Florida where she was able to apply all of her skill set and training to teach and train others. This state funded position called Senior Human Services Program Specialist created several roles, one of the most important is the Medicaid certifying trainer for case managers who were designing plans for up to forty persons each. Included in her quarterly certification training were up to thirty case managers and also quarterly over one hundred case managers were provided with on-going training to maintain current on resources, paperwork and community based programs and services. While planning a fairy tale wedding, Elizabeth took a semester or two off from her graduate program at USF and designed what still is in her memory the most beautiful essense captured of Tampa Bay and Pinellas County. These months of treasured moments are preserved in albums which I call a celebration of lives well lived. From YBOR City to Plant city from blackouts to strawberry festivals to Pink Floyd concerts. All in all it's a miracle that we all survived. The wedding party that is. The tribe that came together for no other reason but to celebrate a joining of two lives together. Why would Tebow find me on May 27, 2017 in the wellness center at the YMCA?
Soul connections are so powerful. I have experienced these connections many times. They are the people who come in on purpose with a magical light within them. They are filled with inspiration. They remind me of the Olympics where we learn to carry a torch or pass it on. Bearing a light within us, we are fortunate enough to find others to help us "keep the flame" lit. As children they sing, "This little light of mine I'm going to let it shine." As I read the many pages in the Sports Illustrated Magazine, I thanked God that I chose to become a personal trainer in 2003 and a life coach in 2007 and a low glycemic nutrition coach in 2008 and a yoga instructor in 2012. Somewhere along the way, I studied nutra metrix supplementation where I learned how OPC could change my chemistry and allow me to be allergy free. As a health educator, coach and trainer, I am grateful that I was able to look in the mirror and become the woman whom I always wanted to be.
As a business owner, marketing Robbie's PC Solutions, I always wanted to have flexibility to work from home and work with flexible hours to provide me more time with my family. As I continued training, personal training, and marketing and life coaching I learned how coaching is separate from management. My coaching role became one of business health coaching. Integrating these low glycemic nutrition programs and health and wellness coaching into other business locations. A perfect fit.
My son and me worked so well together. From birth to age five we were together, but working independently. He watched You Tube videos about how to assemble race tracks and I worked on client profiles, website development and e-mail marketing. It was my dual role as mom that reminded me to check in periodically to share a healthy snack or take a break to go to the gym. Together we built a community within a community. The first five years of parenting brought me more in touch with my sober self. Gone were the days of over drinking for fun or smoking till 2 AM because the feeling that I had of being pure and Christ like giving birth to a little one is one that I cherished. This purity, soft like a babies skin I treasured. It's where my best work came from.
It was during this time, without warning, inspire well-being! was attacked. Business identity theft and fraud took over my family. Every single family member included in some way shape or form. During these trying times, I had to stay close to God. I could hear black magic spells, I could feel Voo Doo, I could feel pain like I had never known which is the separation from my five year old child. I was destroyed from the outside in because of my lifestyle.
Fortunately for me, I was able to remember the many Bible verses that I memorized in high school. Just moments before the quiz, I would memorize line by line God's word. I never thought that these verses would come back to me, but fortunately for me they did. Following the "end of the world" as I knew it, when the Mayan Calendar predicted the world would end, First Unity Church introduced a concept from Hay House Publishing about a wolf man. This man diagnosed with schizophrenia took his own life through suicide because he was unable to balance the physical and spiritual planes. For years, I was targeted to fail and I continued to succeed at my own recovery. My Market America business helped so much with that. Surrounded by other visionaries I was gifted to let go of all negativity. I pursued life long education and many certifications which were the foundation for my career. I was a stay at home mom lifestyle with contracts all over Pinellas County... that's how my son started kindergarten. I still reflect back on those five years with gratitude to all of the people whom I met who came across my path to open doors, to give my son and me opportunity to be together. Nothing could have ever prepared me for the day we would be taken from one another. That day was Oct. 17, 2013.
John 3:17 states, "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. I knew the verse before John 3:17 but I had never read the second verse. See John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." The death that I experienced is as serious as the death that my son experienced. A moving from the consciousness that all is well in our health and home to a ruptured appendix at age five (5).
This death of our life as we knew it definitely required me to keep God in my heart and trust that I have been given all of the tools and resources and people to help me with whatever change of course that I was on. After a three and one half year separation from my son, I discovered that my soul has always longed for a spiritual and physical connection. It's an art of being present. For survivors, like myself it's often very easy for me to create an alternate ending. Some call it ADHD or attention deficit disorder. Some identity with adult autism symptoms. Others just know what I have learned it's not about the diagnosis that is assigned or the course of treatment, it's about our course of action. What course of action can you take if you are under attack? If your enemy wants what you have and at the very least even if your enemy does not want what you have, they do not want you to have it, simply because it's what you want. So they take it from you. It could be your career, your state of health, your state of mind, your career, your child(ren), your community. When everything in your life changes, you must become the change you wish to see within your new altered reality. If you have never experienced this, then take it from me, when everything in your world changes at once and you are trying to stay the same, you will not be able to finish your game. Play by play, you must seek coaching, mentoring, and you may not have the right teachers with you, or access to the right resources. It may be just you and God. That's what John 3:17 meant to me. That although death came to me and separated me from my reality I was able to believe in him for everlasting life.
Today, life looks much different than it did in 2008 - 2016. My focus is to recognize when God brings someone into my path who sees obstacles as opportunities, who does not judge me and who loves me. I believe when we find these relationships we should surround ourselves in each others love because it's God's love. It's all encompassing. It's Christ Fellowship. It's Planet Fitness. It's the love that found in my heart that led me to my new community in Stuart, Florida. It's the Atlantic Ocean and finding s home there. I am eternally grateful to God that I am a believer and that the death that I experienced and my son experienced did not take our life. I believe that when I secure my new home, where my heart is, there will my treasure be also.

Making the most of our life on earth includes surrounding ourselves with positive energy, positive relationships, places and when we are striving to maintain at our best, that's often when our "enemies" will try to destroy us. John 10:10
